Nishara Mooruth & Associates is a speech language therapy and audiology practice.

Nishara Mooruth commenced private practice in 2003 prior to which she worked in the government health sector. The practice has professional, committed and dedicated therapists. Current technology and processes are used to offer an innovative and cost effective service to clients.

Both children and adults are seen. We see children as young as two (2) years including children in the senior phase at school. Adult intervention encompasses hearing loss and neurological, pathologies such as strokes.

Our main offices are in Durban North, however we see clients across the Durban area. There are also other solutions that we consider depending on your requirements :-

• Teletherapy (remote, virtual therapy via Zoom / Microsoft Teams)
• Home visits

Nishara Mooruth has the following qualifications:

• Dyslexia diagnostician with the  Stark Griffin Dyslexia Academy and thus assess and treat dyslexia and provide solutions to assist academic learning. Testing and reports are provided where concessions are required.
• Certified RAVO-O therapist – a program that is used at Bella vista school in Johannesburg. I have completed training and thus offer therapeutic interventions for children with academic problems such as reading , spelling, comprehension, exams preparation etc.
• Certificate in the AMA medical Rating Impairment and thus can assess medico legal cases.
